Born Vincent Damon Furnier on February 4, 1948, in Detroit, Alice Cooper is an American rock icon and a pioneer of shock rock, known for theatrical performances blending horror and satire. The Alice Cooper band, formed in 1968, achieved rapid success in the 1970s with albums like Love It to Death (1971), School's Out (1972), and Billion Dollar Babies (1973).
