Bannière Bullet for My Valentine

Alternative Metal

Bullet for My Valentine are one of the leading forces in modern British metal. Formed in 1998 in Bridgend, Wales, they first performed under the name Jeff Killed John before rebranding in 2003 and embracing a heavier, more aggressive blend of melodic heavy metal, thrash and alternative influences.

Fronted by vocalist-guitarist Matthew Tuck, the band broke through with The Poison (2005), a cult classic featuring hits like Tears Don’t Fall and All These Things I Hate. Follow-up albums Scream Aim Fire (2008) and Fever (2010) solidified their international reputation, combining sharp riffs, catchy hooks and emotional depth.

Blending heaviness, melody and introspection, Bullet for My Valentine stand as one of the defining acts of post-2000 metal. Despite several line-up changes, their energy remains undiminished both live and in the studio. Their self-titled album Bullet for My Valentine (2021) marked a darker, heavier return to form that thrilled fans and critics alike.
