Evanescence is an American alternative rock band formed in 1995 by singer Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. Driven by Amy Lee’s haunting voice and a sound that blends gothic rock, symphonic elements and electronic textures, the band achieved global success with their debut album Fallen (2003), featuring the iconic hits “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal.”

Evanescence’s dark and romantic aesthetic, along with their lyrical themes of loss, resilience and spirituality, deeply resonated with the early-2000s generation. The Open Door (2006) cemented their worldwide status, followed by the self-titled Evanescence (2011) and the powerful comeback The Bitter Truth (2021).
