Extreme is an American hard rock band formed in Boston in 1985. Led by vocalist Gary Cherone and guitar wizard Nuno Bettencourt, the band blends glam metal, funk and technical rock into a vibrant and explosive sound. Their flamboyant style and musicianship place them somewhere between Van Halen, Queen and Aerosmith.

After their self-titled debut in 1989, Extreme II: Pornograffitti (1990) brought them worldwide fame, featuring the timeless acoustic ballad More Than Words. The follow-up, III Sides To Every Story (1992), showcased even greater ambition — progressive structures, lush arrangements and deep lyricism, confirming Extreme as one of the most sophisticated acts of their era.
