Bannière G.B.H

Punk

G.B.H (originally Charged G.B.H), formed in Birmingham in 1978, are pioneers of British hardcore punk. Emerging in the wake of the Sex Pistols’ chaos, the band — led by Colin Abrahall (vocals) and Colin “Jock” Blyth (guitar) — brought unfiltered rage, distortion and anti-establishment fury to a new generation.

Their debut album City Baby Attacked by Rats (1982) became an instant cult classic — frantic tempos, razor-sharp guitars and lyrics tackling war, decay and social hypocrisy. G.B.H’s ferocity helped define the early crossover between punk and metal, inspiring acts like The Exploited and Discharge.

Throughout their career, G.B.H have stayed loud, proud and unrelenting. Albums such as City Baby’s Revenge (1983), Midnight Madness and Beyond (1986) and Punk Junkies (1996) prove their lasting power. Still touring today, they remain a cornerstone of hardcore punk — fierce, political and defiantly alive, standing shoulder to shoulder with The Clash.
