A true pioneer of East Coast thrash metal, Overkill was formed in 1980 in New Jersey by Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and D.D. Verni. With their relentless energy, aggressive sound, and unwavering dedication, the band quickly became a cornerstone of the underground metal scene.
From their debut Feel the Fire (1985), Overkill stood out for their raw power and uncompromising style. Albums like The Years of Decay and Horrorscope cemented their legacy, while their steady output made them a model of consistency and authenticity in metal.
In 2014, White Devil Armory was released to critical acclaim, proving that Overkill’s fire still burns bright more than three decades into their career.
