Paul Anthony Young was born on January 17, 1956, in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. With his warm, soulful voice, he rose to fame in the 1980s with a string of pop hits infused with blue-eyed soul, including Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home), Come Back and Stay, and Love of the Common People.

Before launching his solo career, Paul Young honed his craft with the bands Streetband and Q-Tips, before topping the UK charts with his debut album No Parlez (1983). His instantly recognizable voice and elegant renditions of soul standards made him one of the defining voices of British pop during the decade.

Still active today, Paul Young continues to record and tour, balancing personal projects with nostalgic live shows that celebrate his timeless charm and musical finesse.
