Bannière Queensrÿche

Alternative Metal

Formed in Bellevue, Washington in the early 1980s, Queensrÿche quickly became one of the defining bands of American progressive metal. Known for their ambitious compositions, dystopian themes, and the powerful, theatrical voice of Geoff Tate, the band carved out a unique place in metal history.

Their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime is widely regarded as a masterpiece of the genre — blending conceptual storytelling, technical virtuosity, and sharp social commentary. With songs like Eyes of a Stranger, I Don't Believe in Love, and Silent Lucidity, Queensrÿche bridged the gap between heavy metal, progressive rock, and hard rock with unmatched finesse.

Despite several lineup changes, the band remains active, continuing to tour worldwide with an enduring and devoted fanbase.
